Good morning everyone, my name is Li Hua, and I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to introduce myself. If you ask my friends to describe me in one word, they’d probably say "connector." That’s because I’m fascinated by how seemingly different things link together.
For instance, my two biggest passions are coding and classical Chinese poetry. On the surface, they seem worlds apart—one is logical, the other emotional. But to me, both are about finding elegant patterns and building beautiful structures. When I write a clean, efficient piece of code, it feels like crafting a perfect line of verse. My personal project last semester was developing a simple app that generates personalized Tang poems based on a user's mood input. It was my attempt to bridge these two worlds.
This love for connecting dots extends to my hobbies. I’m an avid rock climber. People often ask, "Isn’t that scary?" Absolutely. But clinging to a wall teaches you a unique kind of calm focus and strategic thinking—you must plan several moves ahead, just like solving a complex algorithm. The moment you reach the top isn't just about victory; it’s about appreciating the intricate path you took.
So, whether it’s through lines of code, ancient poetry, or finding a route up a wall, I’m always looking for the hidden links. I believe this mindset helps me approach problems from fresh angles and collaborate with diverse teams. I’m really looking forward to learning from and contributing to all of you. Thank you.
