Hey everyone! My name is Li Yang, but you can call me Leo. I'm a sophomore majoring in Digital Media Technology here at this vibrant university. Coming from a coastal city, I love the energy of the sea and I've brought that sense of openness and exploration right here with me.
I guess you could say I'm a blend of logic and creativity. My major keeps me busy with coding and design software, which I genuinely enjoy—there's something thrilling about building a functional app or a cool animation from scratch. When I'm not buried in lines of code or design interfaces, you'll probably find me with a camera in hand. Photography is my way of pressing pause on fleeting moments, especially those golden-hour scenes on campus. It’s my personal meditation.
My freshman year was a rollercoaster of trying new things. I joined the university’s Tech Innovation Club, where we spent a semester tinkering on a simple campus guide app. It was messy, we hit dead ends, but the moment it finally worked on a test phone was pure magic. That experience taught me more about teamwork and persistence than any textbook could. I also volunteered to teach basic computer skills at a community center every other weekend. Explaining concepts to my grandpa’s generation was challenging but incredibly rewarding—it made tech feel human.
I won't sugarcoat it; I've got my share of flaws. I tend to get hyper-focused on details sometimes, which can slow me down. I'm also working on being a more confident public speaker in English. That’s actually a big part of why I'm here, introducing myself to all of you. I believe growth happens right outside your comfort zone.
Looking ahead at my university life, I'm really excited to dive deeper into user experience design. I'm eager to connect with more people who are passionate about where tech meets art. I hope to collaborate on projects that aren't just smart, but also have heart and make a small difference. So, if you're into film-making, startup ideas, or just want to chat about the latest tech trends over coffee, I'm your guy. Let's make some awesome memories and build something meaningful together.
To me, being a student here isn't just about grades. It's about trying, failing, learning, and connecting. It's about figuring out who I am and what I can offer to the world. I'm still a work in progress, and I can't wait to see what the next chapters hold. Thanks for your time
