This week flew by as usual. On Monday, our history class discussed ancient civilizations, which was surprisingly engaging. The teacher showed us pictures of artifacts, making the past feel real. Wednesday was the highlight—my friend Jamie finally taught me how to skateboard after school. I fell twice, but getting back up felt good. We laughed a lot. On Friday, it rained heavily, so I stayed in, finished a novel I’d been reading, and felt oddly peaceful.
The main thing I realized this week is how much *all moments matter. A interesting class, a patient friend, a quiet afternoon with a book—these aren’t big events, but they slowly fill your life with good things. I sometimes rush through days waiting for the weekend, but this week taught me to notice the good bits in between. Next week, I’ll try to be more present.
