I think there are some reasons which cause this phenomenon. On one hand, for a long period of time, people’s worship of money has resulted in moral decline. People often concern themselves only with self-profit, not others' well-being. On the other hand, school education pays excessive attention to intellect and leads to students’ low level of moral awareness. If this continues, sustained economic prosperity would be difficult to maintain.
Government should address this problem by taking concrete actions such as reinforcing moral education, especially for the younger generation. Only by building up correct moral concepts can we reverse the trend of moral decline and ensure long-term social and economic health.
